A Brief History of Our Club
In 2005, a small group of parents recognized the need for Post Falls to have
its own volleyball club for junior girls, instead of having them commute to Spokane or Coeur d'Alene. After much conversation
with other club directors from around the Evergreen Region and with guidance from the region office, Post Falls Volleyball
Club was formed late in that year.
Our first season in competition was 2006, when we fielded four teams (one
U12, two U14's, and one U16). We experienced mixed success on the court, but our U12's claimed tournament
championships at both the St. Maries Spikefest and the PJ Jama tournaments.
In 2007, we expanded to five teams (one U12, two U14's, and two U16's),
and hosted our very first tournament, an 8-team U14 event at Post Falls Middle School. That event was won by NCWVBC
from Wenatchee, with the home team, our U14-2 Black Pearls, finishing third.
In 2008, we grew to six teams (one U12, two U14's, two U16's and one
U17). We hosted two 16-team divisions of the Treaty Rock Classic for both U14's and U16's.
Planning is already underway for 2009.
