Welcome to the home of the Edgerton Historical Society.

The Edgerton Historical Society reorganized in the fall of 2007 after the original organization dissolved several years ago.  We meet on the fourth Monday of each month in the Edgerton Library Community Room on North Michigan Avenue. The meetings start at 7 P.M. and usually last no later than 8:30.

Between 30 and 40 people gather each month to hear guest speakers, view historic Edgerton photos, view historic Edgerton artifacts from individual collections, and discuss Edgerton's colorful history.

Anyone who is interested in the history of Edgerton is welcome to attend the meetings.  The next meeting is September 28.

Mission Statement

The Edgerton Historical Society exists to preserve the history and historical artifacts of the village of Edgerton and St. Joseph Township.

One of the major goals of our organization is to preserve historic buildings and sites in the village.  An example is the 1884 Village Hall and Park Opera House.
