GAP reorganized during the 2006-2007 school year.
A handful of parents and teachers met together and created a board.
The website was created and email notification went out.
GAP hosted a meeting in the spring and created a list of
available camps for summer.
During the 2007-2008 school year, GAP hosted several meetings and a Saturday parent seminar.
One of the biggest accomplishments,
was allowing the district level administration to see
how limited the course offerings were for MS and HS gifted students.
This resulted in the discussion for the creation of a Gifted Middle School.
For the 2008-2009 school year, GAP is hoping to create a new member packet
and continue to share information through email
and our member only YAHOO group.
We will continue with the plans for the Gifted Middle School and will host a parent
seminar in March.
GAP is pleased to announce that three Gifted MS programs will be offered for the 09-10 school year.
