The Meek Are Blessed
Why do we look upon the word meekness with distaste? The meek are those who quietly submit
to God; who can bear insult; are silent, or return a soft answer; who, in their patience, keep possession of their own souls,
when they can scarcely keep possession of anything else. These meek ones are happy, even in this world. Meekness promotes
wealth, comfort, and safety, even in this world. Are you meek? Do you recognize others that have been with Jesus because their
mannerism reflects Him? Will you begin to return to the meek that you have disdained and ask for their wisdom and perhaps,
forgiveness? Will you ask God for this gift that you might be blessed also? Are you possessing your soul as Scripture commands
us and are being kept whole spirit and soul and body preserved blameless?
Num 12:3 (Now the man Moses was
very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)
Psa 22:26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that
seek him: your heart shall live forever.
Psa 25:9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
Psa 147:6 The LORD lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.
Psa 147:6 The LORD lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.
Isa 29:19 The meek also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
Mat 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they
shall inherit the earth.
Mat 21:5 Tell ye the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy king cometh unto thee, meek,
and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.

Mar 13:10-11 "And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all
nations. And when they bring you to trial
and deliver you over, do not be anxious beforehand what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour, for it
is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit."
