The Father’s True Love Letter

 

Everyone wants to personalize the words of God and His Son to their own life, at least the   good words of God’s promises.

 

“Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God; on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off” (Romans 11:22)

 

The words you are about to read are true.  They come from the very heart of God.

God has told you.  I am angry.

(Psalm 7:11)

“God is angry with the wicked every day”

 

Psalm 5:4-5

“For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness;  neither shall evil dwell with thee.  The foolish shall not stand in thy sight; thou hatest all workers of iniquity.”

Nahum

“The Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet...The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.  Who can stand before his indignation? And who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.”

Revelation 14:10-11

“The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night”

 

 

Proverbs 1:26-30

Isaiah

“Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it...the breath of the LORD is like a stream of brimstone…

As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence!...

For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many”

Psalms 11:6

“Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shalt be the portion of their cup.”

 

Revelation 19:15

“And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.”

 

Zephaniah

“The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.  That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,  A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers.  And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung.  Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land...Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired;  Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD's anger come upon you.  Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD's anger.”

Repent and obey the gospel.  Jesus took the full wrath of God that you deserve when he died on the cross.    Throw yourself on his mercy and give him your life!  May the Lamb that was slain receive the reward of His suffering.
