Proverbs 1:26-30
“I also will laugh at your
calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation,
and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
Then shall they call upon me but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me; For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord; they would none of my counsel; they despised all my reproof.”
2 Thessalonians 1:7-9
“the Lord Jesus shall be
revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey
not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the
Lord, and from the glory of his power”
Psalm 97:3
“A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about.”
Isaiah
“Behold, the day of the LORD
cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of
it...the breath of the LORD is like a stream of brimstone…
As when the melting fire burneth,
the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence!...
For, behold, the LORD will come
with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many”
Psalms 11:6
“Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and
brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shalt be the portion of their cup.”
Revelation 19:15
“And out of his mouth goeth a sharp
sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress
of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.”
Zephaniah
“The great day of the LORD
is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress,
a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities,
and against the high towers. And I will bring distress upon
men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as
dust, and their flesh as the dung. Neither their silver nor their
gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his
jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land...Gather yourselves together, yea, gather
together, O nation not desired; Before the decree bring forth,
before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD's anger come
upon you. Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth,
which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD's anger.”
Repent and obey the gospel. Jesus took the full wrath of God that you deserve when he died on the cross. Throw yourself on his mercy and give him your life! May
the Lamb that was slain receive the reward of His suffering.
