For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes
to the west, so also will the coming of Jesus be.
We look foward to the day when He will return in glory and majesty to set up His literal and physical
kingdom.
God commands men everywhere to repent for there is an appointed day when He will judge this
world in righteousness. The Lord wants noone to perish, but desires all to come to repentance. Jesus will
return and judge the living and the dead. In righteousness He will judge and wage war. He will come with a
sharp sword with which He will smite the nations and rule them with a rod of iron. Soon the Lord Jesus will be revealed
from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not
obey His gospel. In vengeance He will tread the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath of Almighty God. This
day will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt
with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. All the tribes of the earth
will mourn, and they will see Jesus coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His
angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven
to the other. Heaven and earth will pass away, but God's word will never pass away. It is a dreadful thing to fall into
the hands of the living God.
The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.
God sees it all. Every lie you've told, every time you've used His name in vain, every
time you've stolen something, you're greed and hateful thoughts. He sees all your secret sins, every immoral
deed, word and thought you've ever had. Whatever is in your life that you love more than God is an idol.
You will have to give account for everything. Don't be deceived the unrightous will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
The cowardly, unbelieving, sexually immoral, sorcerors, idolaters and all liars will have their part in the lake of fire,
where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth and the worm never dies. God opposes the proud. Your sinfulness
opposes the character of God, in fact scripture teaches that you are an enemy of God snared by the devil, having been taken
captive at his will. The wrath of God abides on you. God destroyed the world once with a flood because every
thought and intent of the heart of man was continually evil, even from his youth.
The bible declares that man's self righteousness is as filthy rags in His sight. The
pride of man's heart can be compared of an unclean leper, whose flesh is rotting, the putrifying stench of which rises
into the nostrils of God. Man's own efforts outside of God's plan of salvation compares with wrapping the
leper in fine silk. This once fine silk soon becomes as filthy as the seaping rotting flesh.
The only hope is to repent from your sins and humbly surrender your heart to Jesus Christ.
The greatness
of God's glory and love, His plan of salvation, was displayed when Jesus left heaven, came to earth born of a virgin,
dwelt amoung us, lived a perfect sinless life, performed great miracles, taught of the Kingdom, then willingly died
on a cross, becoming a curse, forsaken of the Father, drinking the cup of God's full wrath and condemnation that we
deserve. Isaiah Chapter 53 describes Jesus to a "T". It say's that "The Lord was pleased to bruise (crush) him".
Remember when Jesus was on the cross he cried out, "Father, Father, Why have you forsaken me?". The full wrath of a just
and holy God was poured out on Jesus Christ! The wrath that you are heaping up for yourself can be forgiven before it's
too late. Flee from the wrath of God. Maybe God will save you. You cannot
simply "Accept Christ". You need to be accepted by Him. Cry out to God for mercy until
he saves you, until the Spirit of the Creator of the Universe comes to live inside of you and creates in you a clean new heart---"Born
Again", adopting you as His child, giving you new desires including a hatred of sin. What you have got isn't
going to cut it with God, you will not make it without the Holy Spirit taking up residence inside you, cleansing you by His
precious blood. Jesus told the woman at the well, "I have water for you to drink in which you will never thirst again".
JESUS is alive, having risen on
the third day.
Surrender to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords- Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
