Family Concert Poster Contest

The Illinois Symphony Orchestra Guild is sponsoring a poster contest for all children, grades 1-6, in conjunction with the orchestra's October 17 Family Concert. The concert will feature music by Mozart including the popular Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (A Little Night Music) in a child-friendly format.

Poster entries should be 8 1/2 inches x 11 inches and should convey the concept of A Little Night Music using any or all of the following media: crayon, colored markers, colored pencils, watercolor paint, or collage.

Entries should be dropped off at the front desk of the Children's Discovery Museum in uptown Normal between September 15 and September 30.

All entries will be on display at the Children's Discovery Museum from October 2 to October 17.

Two winning posters will be chosen: one for grades 1- 3 and one for grades 4-6. The two winning entrants will be awarded free tickets for themselves and family members to the October 17 Illinois Symphony Orchestra Family Concert. The concert will be held at the 1st Presbyterian Church on East College at 2pm with pre-concert activities for children beginning at 1pm.

Entries will need to be picked up at the Children's Discovery Museum on October 18th or they may be disposed of.
