This is the web page for my Prayer Shawl Ministry. If you know someone in need, please send a short note to me at the e-mail link below. We will do our best to answer all requests and provide the person with a shawl made by those supporting this ministry.
We have answered 9 requests for  shawls in just the first half of 2008.

Please consider making a donation for yarn and postage so we can keep providing shawls to those in need.  Thank you.

This ministry is also supporting "Feed the Children", a group feeding the hungry children of America. If you can help, please go to their homepage at Feed the Children. It costs only $7.00 a month to feed one hungry child right here at home!

If you would like to help our caring and thoughtful work, please consider sending a, knitted, crocheted, store bought or even gentle used shawl. They will be greatly appreciated by me and my Ministry, so we can continue to answer requests by the recipients who look to the shawls for caring and comfort.
Just e-mail me at the link below for details or a mailing address.

If you are a knitter, crocheter, quilter or a person who can sew, please contribute to our ministry. We would like to provide all who have a need with a shawl made by the sharing hands of those who care.
How you can help:

*Knit or crochet a prayer shawl at home (we have links to several easy and quick patterns below).
* Join us at a stitch-along to work on a prayer shawl (for the local Phillie ‘burb area; e-mail me for more information.)

* Donate 3 skeins of Lion Brand Homespun, 4 skeins of Bernat Softee Chunky, or any other “chunky weight” yarn in a color of your choice.

* Tell us of someone in spiritual or physical need who could use the comfort of a prayer shawl. This person could be suffering from illness, have a loved one who is ill, is in a dark personal place or any other emotional or physical need.

For more information on how you can help or any questions you might have, please e-mail me at the link below.
We also accept all  "gently" used shawls in like new condition (no holes, tears, stains or pulls etc.)
Thank you,
Rev. Dr. Maggie
