Yes, I have caught the SP bug!!!! I first joined knittys SP round running January through March and have just gotten my first ever official SP goodie box!!! Oh my, the fun, the yarn, and the goodies!!!! My SP lives in England, and while I have a few guesses as to who she is, I have no proof, or even enough good info to try to make an educated guess. My guesses pretty much are limited to all the members who live in england, which I think is 2-3. Of course there are plenty of players who dont list their country on their profile, so there could be many, many, more!!! My goodie box came, and I opened more presents than I did on Christmas or my birthday!!!LOL!!! There was wonderful sock yarn in Regia's (my fave big name brand)Kaffe Fassets mirage fire, which of course is RED!!!
For those of you who know me, you know thats my fave!!!
There were yummy goodies like dark choc (another fave) and shortbread cookies--as well as Mint tea, another fave!!!
I swear, she must be reading my mind, because I've been having some difficulties with finding my keys lately and she sent me the cutest key ring ever--a big sheep (ram)!!!
There was also the cutest stuffed smiley face that when you squeeze him, his cheeks light up!! too cute!!! There were some post it notes, thank goodness, cuz I really needed them, and the card was so cool--a pocket book with a sheep on it! But the absolute best thing, IMHO, was this wonderful thimble (I started collecting them last year) of a WITCH RIDING HER BROOM!!!! How cool is that?!!!!!
So whoever you are-tonnastreater, I am totally LOVING you as an upstream!!!LOL!!! You've made this so much fun, and been such a great upstream that I can only hope to resemble you in taking care of my downstream!!! Thank you so very much!!!!

This was so much fun that I signed up for knittys VD round, and have already sent my downstream her first prezzie, and will have the bigger goody box going out on Monday. I had this idea of a specail hand crafted item, which of course I cant tell you about until she knows who I am!!!! I'm also doing the same for my knitty SP downstream, and for my 3rd sp pal!!! Thats right, folks!! I've had such fun with these other 2 rounds that I'm running one on my Harrisburg sock knitters group on ravelry!! So, until march is over, I cant really tell you about my handcrafted item, but I will be taking pics to post about it after!!! So much fun!!!

Well, we've managed to survive christmas (NOT OUR HOLIDAY) and only have to brave through the new years to safely make it into the new years. I've had some wonderful things happen to me lately, and thought I would share. Jenny from crimson orchid (see link and pics on swag hag page)sent me a wonderful birthday present---2 mouthwatering skeins of sunnysideellen from etsy. OMG-the yarn is to die for, and the colors are amazing. I will be a repeat customer soon enough!!!LOL!!! I've made a wonderful friend from Scotland, Marie, and we may be setting up an international swap between us--how exciting is that? Reading her blog was like reading my own diary we are so alike--doesnt it amaze you when that happens? And of course I'm in knittys SP round starting Jan 1. I've got my first wave sent out t my downstream, though I cant really talk about it here as I dont want to blow my cover before the round even starts!!!
We all know how well I can keep a secret--like not at all!!! I've started a wonderful local sock knitting group and we talk to each other through ravelry, though we hope to get together in January. Everyone is just trying to get through the holidays!!!!

As you most likely know by now, I will not be hosting or helping out socktopia. Its a shame, but momma and I had a bit of a difference of opinion, and have parted ways. I dont really want to go into it, as I feel that would be very tacky, but dont want to give the impression that I did anything wrong either. My plan of ignoring this incident has left me open to some sarcastic remarks from others who apparently had the account from someone else, and I am not sure what to do. If I tell all and provide pics of the credit card company, I could prove myself right, and still being owed $25, but then I would be seen as "attacking" her. If I keep quiet and dont try to prove myself, its seen as "obviously being in the wrong". sigh. So I think that I will take a different route. Anyone who wants to see the proof can email me and ask. Anyone who wants to
confront me directly or through sarcasm will be made aware of my feelings on the subject. But wouldnt it be nicer for everyone if we could all skip the BS and get on with our lives? I'm not crying over losing $25, or over how I was treated. I made my choice when etsy admin asked me to file a complaint. Lets move on to something
positive, shall we?

HARRISBURG SOCK KNITTERS is a new group run on ravelry by little ole me, and I'm so proud!!!!heeeheeehee Ive gotten some woderful new members lately, and we are talking about a meeting in January when the holidays are over!!! I posted our first contest today and realized the downside of running them-I cant compete!!!!

On the sock knitting front, I am almost finished with my vesper aquamelons, and won a skein of vesper tainted love today on ebay. I cant wait!!! I also got a great skein from Olfield creek sock and yarn on ebay--talk about a find!! I've gotten worse yarn from some of the higher esteemed venues and the packaging was wonderful!!! Really, they are inexpensive, ship fast, and are willing to do just about anything you could ask from a vendor--if you dont check them out, its your loss!!! I have been doing some trades on knitty and I traded my Chameleon Colorworks (just wasnt my color, the yarn is fab) for my first skein of STR!! I cant wait to see it!!!
