In hopes that we each cultivate our deepest gifts, I express lateral-thought visualizations of human and spiritual issues:  fearless self-examination, kindness, selfishness, endurance of hardship, relationships, our stewardship of the earth, tough love, true faithfulness...

My techniques favor direct application, often with rough-hewn qualities that reveal the progressive layers of construction. I gravitate to dramatic intensity, conceptual juxtapositions, personal/societal commentary and a quirky irony.

Portraits (human &/or pet) and other commissioned work welcomed. I'm committed to high quality.

"My Blue Eyes" 30x24" oil (Anyone new ever look "off-color" due to a past experience?)

The Gazette article on subsequently sold painting "My Blue Eyes" (scroll to their subheading Blue Period). The web-archive omitted the photo they'd originally shown but here's a thumbnail of it. Another article unfortunately couldn't be shared as a link: On 11/16/02 The Washington Times featured a detail of my Potomac River landscape, "Virginia, SE of Great Falls" (23x16" oil) in their "Best Bets" column and it sold along with two other paintings from that solo show at Yellow Barn Studio to a Rolls Royce director who came to see the original because of the newspaper photograph.
