Sgt. Dowdy is responsible for the investigation of major crimes at the department. 

Sgt. Dowdy started his career at the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office in 1983. Where he worked as a jailor, road deputy and supervisor. 

He then worked with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office as a road deputy.

Sgt. Dowdy came back to Pulaski County and the Dublin Police Department in 1996 and has served in many capacities since.
