About Me
AFAA Certified since 1997.
Thanks for visiting ThankfullyFit. I am passionate about health and wellness and have been active all my life.
I grew up playing all sorts of sports from soccer and basketball to track and rugby. In college I became an aerobics
junkie. Once I began teaching classes I realized I really liked helping people get through the workouts.
I started working in Health Clubs and worked my way up the ladder in managment but kept getting farther and farther from
the part I enjoyed. So I left the managment side of the business and became a strength coach. I really enjoyed working
one on one as well as small group personal training but then left that full time to be at home with the kids. I have
never left fitness all together because quite frankly I think I would lose my mind. It is more than a workout for me.
It is therapy. I find I am much more patient with my children and husband when I have had my time to sweat!
Now with all that being said, weight management took me a little longer to master and I used the term loosely.
I am like anyone else, if I eat (or drink) too much of the bad stuff, I can still gain weight despite a very active lifestyle.
The good, the bad and ugly. The good news is you can do something about it. The bad news is that it is work. It
is work for most of us...and the ugly news is it is even more work the older we get but it can be done.
Health and Wellness Plans really developed because I kept getting requests to personal train and I didn't have the luxury
of time any more on my hands but I did still truly want to help. So I came up with a way to share my experience training.
Now with wonders of modern technology I can work with people all over the country.
