  • The 3rd Annual Women of Courage Walk of Historical Re-enactment of October 21,1835 was introduced by author and MIT professor Helen Elaine Lee on Sunday, October 19,2008.

February 2008 – Beverly Hector-Smith will shared her discovery of Thomas H. Jones in conjunction with a "Meet the Author" for Catherine Grover’s Fugitive Gibraltar

      This was an exciting conversation with Katherine Grover, academic historian, and Beverly Hector-Smith, family historian, to show the work that Beverly is doing and to show the crossroads between family/personal and academic

Historical Re-enactment of the Boston Female Anti-Slavery Society March
 
These brave women marched black & white, arm in arm through an angry mob on Oct 21,1835 after Mayor Lynman told them that they had to adjourn. Determined to continue their meeting they walked together to the home of Maria Weston Chapman on West Street.
