REDLANDS FOOTLIGHTERS
P.O. Box 444, Redlands, CA. 92373 Redlands Footlighters is a community theater
celebrating it's 64th season. It is an all volunteer organization
that produces five to six shows a year. It is the only nonsubsidized
community theater in Southern California.
It has a seating capacity of 200 with a center stage that can
utilize a turn table on one end, for scenery change, as
needed. The first production for this season is "Funny
Money", written by Ray Cooney (author of Run for Your
Wife, Caught
in the Net, and Tom, Dick and Harry.) This production is directed by Mark Allen-Everett, who has
opened our season with a hit comedy for the past six
years.
Funny Money is the story of Henry, a nervous British PA who ends up with the wrong brief case as he exits the tube. In the loo at a local pub, he discovers the case is filled with money, not his usual lunch. He hurries home,
with the idea of leaving the country before the owner of the
briefcase can find him. Two police officers show up
before he
can leave: one who believes he was soliciting in the pub, and the other who thinks he is dead after finding a
body in the Thames with his briefcase and identification.
This show opens on Thursday, Sept 10, at 8:00pm. with reception for cast & crew following the performance. Evening shows are Fri. and Sat. for three weekends, with a 2:00 pm matinee on Sundays, Sept. 13, 20
& 27.
Tickets are $15.00 at the box office, with student rates of $10.00 (with valid student ID). Groups
of 10 can get
special rates. Season tickets are $60.00, which is five shows for the price of four. Join
us for a fast-paced fun
filled couple of hours. The theater is located at 1810 Barton Road in Redlands (near corner of Alabama
&
Barton Road) Reservations may be made by calling (909) 793-2909.
