Why you need the WVHC - The WVHC is the only statewide
organization that works to serve the needs of the entire equine industry. Each breed, discipline, and special interest
group looks after its own. But changes in our WV society such as urban growth, environmental concerns, and other activities
have often adversely affected horse ownership and horse use. Horse owners need to work together for a better future
Why the WVHC needs you - The more members, the
more influence. The WVHC needs your individual voice. The work is vast, the workers few. An expanded membership
means more influence in the public arena. The WVHC is the spokesperson for the expanding WV horse industry. The
council is formed by WV horsepersons for WV horsepersons. The membership and board of directors represent all breed
groups and all horsepersons of WV's horse industry. The general purpose of the WVHC is to promote the common interest
of the entire industry.
