Serving families in Amherst, Williamsville and Clarence area of Western New York

Evangel Food Pantry has been in existance for over 27 years. In late 2001 we started to run to food pantry, we found things like people waiting for services and people taking food but leaving stuff behind. We started making changes. People were given a sheet to pick what they would like instead of being given a prepacked bag of food. We also made it so the elderly and small families could come once a month and get two orders worth. When we made the once a month change this allow us to open our doors to families that had been put on a waiting list.

Each year the numbers we served increased and we are currently serving an average of 450-500 people a month.

Our food pantry is open every 2nd and 4th Tuesday. However we have emergency bags available daily. Emergency bags are bags or boxes of prepacked food to help a family in trouble get through a few days.

The food pantry was being run in the middle of the business plan being written for the foundation.

Donations can be made at Evangel Assembly of God, Monday-Friday during Evangel office hours. Please be sure to leave your name and number with your donation.

Girls Scouts food drive is held in April each year.

Boys Scouts food drive needed for Fall.

We take donations of food, clothing and other household items for our families. We are always in need of personal care items, laundry supplies and baby formula/food.
