Jacob Wurman has been the tuba and euphonium teacher for the Coppell Independent School District in Coppell, Texas since August 2004.
 
While in Coppell, Jacob has been fortunate to have many students audition successfully for All-Region, All-Area, and All-State Band and Orchestra at both the High School and Middle School levels.
 
Jacob is a two-time graduate of the University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music. Jacob left CCM in 2003 after he completed both his Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees. Jacob was a student of Mr. Timothy Northcut, one of America's best collegiate professors and tuba performers.  
 
Jacob began his post-graduate studies at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. While a student at IU, Jacob received instruction from the world famous tuba performer and pedagogue, Mr. Daniel Perantoni.
 
Jacob would also like to recognize Mr. Anthony Kniffen (principal tuba, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra) as one of his most influential mentors and as well as a friend.
 
Jacob has performed with various orchestras, notably The Singapore Symphony Orchestra and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
 
Jacob lives in Keller with his wife Lauren, baby boy Sawyer and his two dogs: Pepper and Daisy.
