A Note to Students and Parents:
Sometimes Science can be intimidating for students. It appears to be loaded with facts for memorization, but each aspect
(life science, earth science, physical science) is typically based on a few basic ideas.
During Science classes, we will focus on concepts and understanding. (The specifics will fall into place after
the concepts are understood.) I would like to encourage all students to begin viewing the world as scientists.
You don't need to look far. After all, lemonade is a solution, Nintendo uses electrical circuits, and beach sand
is weathered and eroded rock. The more we can think of our world in scientific terms, the more relaxed and confident
we become with our knowledge of science.
