Materials: 10-16 ounces of 4-ply worsted weight yarn. Crochet hook size ’H’
or size to give correct gauge.
Gauge: 7 sc = 21 inches; 8 rows =
2 inches.
Sizes: Directions are for size Extra Small. Changes for Small, Medium,
Large and Extra Large are in parenthesis.
Note: Pat is worked vertically. Pat will work well with brushed
type yarns.
BACK: Beg at Side Edge, ch 43(49-55-61-63) Row 1: Sc in second ch
from hook and each of next 9 ch; hdc in next 10_11-12-13-13) ch, dc to end of row. Ch 2, turn. Row 2: Dc over dc, hdc over
hdc and sc over sc of previous row. Ch 1, turn. Sc end of row is Lower edge, dc end of row is shoulder seam. Row 3: sc in
each sc, hdc in each hdc, dc in each dc. Ch 2. turn. Repeat Rows 2 & 3 for pattern. Work in pat throughout.

Neck:
beg with row 6(7-8-9-9) dec one dc at top edge on every row for 8(9-10-11-12) rows. Work next row even in pat. Then dec one
dc at top edge on next row. Work next two rows even in pat. Now inc one dc at top edge on next row; work one row even in pat;
inc one dc at top edge on next row and every row 7(8-9-10-11) times. Work next five rows even in pat. End off.
