309 Opposite Stripe Top
Material: Approximately 12 ounces of
4 ply knitting weight yarn. Crochet hook size G, or size to give correct gauge.
Gauge: 8 stitches = 2 inches; 12 rows
= 3 inches.
Sizes: Directions are for size small.
Changes for Medium, Large and Extra-large are in parenthesis.
Pattern is worked almost entirely in single crochet (sc)
FRONT: Beg with center Panel. With Dark Color, ch 30(34-38-42). Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hk and each ch across. Ch 1, turn. Row 2: Sc in each sc to end. Ch 1, turn. Repeat Row 2 for pattern. Work 2(4-2-4) more rows of Dark Color. Switch to light color,
work 6 rows. Continue to change colors every six rows until 10(11-12-13) stripes
have been completed. End off.
BACK: Work Back center panel same
as Front.
