The Fifth Grade Concert Band are for students who have at least one year of playing a band instrument. Although
it requires a lot of personal commitment and sacrifice, its rewards can be a wonderful experience. It is an exciting year
for Fifth Grade Concert Band!
In the band program, each fifth grade band student attends a weekly group lesson time, two band rehearsals,
and performs in concerts and parades during the year.
Group lessons are 30-minutes long and it is held during class time on a pullout basis. In addition to lessons,
there are two 45-minute band rehearsals each week. One rehearsal is during the school day (Thursdays), and the other rehearsal
is before school on Wednesday mornings at GES from 7:30-8:15 a.m.
Playing your instrument to the best of your ability, having a positive attitude, and setting high personal
standards will guarantee your success and the success of the band. Aim for the best! Have a great musical year!
