Re.: State v. Antwan Freeman
Ind.No. 00-08-1651D

Dear Club Members:

On January 27, 2001, many of you vonuntarily gave up half of your weekend to help the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office in the investigation of a car jacking the culminated in Monroe Township near the Whitehall School. You met with my investigator Ian Finnimore and searched a wooded area for guns and jewelry. Although no guns were found, two watches were located through your efforts. Those watches were later identified by one of the victims of the car jacking as the watch he had to surrender to the perpertrators during the robbery and the other watch that he had placed in the glove box of the jeep prior to the car jacking.

In short, Your actions greatly assisted us in obtaining two convictions against dangerous offenders. The above-named defendant was found guilty by a jury on july 9, 2001. His co-defendant had already entered a guilty plea to the charges.

Please accept my sincere gratitude for your assistance and cooperation with law enforcement. Without the help of civiv-minded individuals like yourselves the job of "doing justice" would be many times more difficult. Enclosed are photos taken of the watches found during your search. Many thanks!

Very truly yours,

M. Jill Horenberger

Chief Assistant Prosecutor
