Some of the researchers of the living-pterosaur phenomena wish to remain anonymous. Those who openly declare their belief
in living pterosaurs include Jonathan Whitcomb and Garth Guessman of California, David Woetzel of New Hampshire, and Paul Nation of Texas. These four have explored in Papua
New Guinea, searching for ropens and interviewing eyewitnesses.
Duane Hodgkinson, a flight instructor in Montana, is open about his 1944 "pterodactyl" sighting near Finschhafen, Papua New
Guinea.

Our Association
Researchers of ropens (of creatures that may be live Rhamphorhynchoid pterosaurs) have an informal association:
They're governed by mutual cooperation, free from any formal agreements or hierarchy.

Our Philosophy
Most, but not all, researchers are Young-Earth Creationists, believing in the Genesis account of the creation and the
Flood of Noah. Whitcomb, Guessman, and Woetzel are especially opposed to popular textbook declarations about the General Theory
of Evolution. Guessman and Woetzel are classified as YEC; Whitcomb is a young-life and relatively-young-earth believer.
Hodgkinson seems open to whatever is discovered about the ropen.
