| The BIG APPLE Crisp | |
| 14-18 apples, peeled and sliced
½ cup water 2 ½ cups Bisquick or Cornucopia Baking Mix 2 teaspoons cinnamon 4 tablespoons lemon juice 1 cup Sucanat or turbinado sugar 1 cup butter or canola spread |
Lightly grease a large casserole or baking pan (like 10"x15") and
preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Spread sliced apples in bottom of pan. Add water and sprinkle lemon juice over apples. Mix together baking mix, Sucanat or turbinado and cinnamon. Cut butter into dry mixture to form a crumbly topping. Spread evenly over apples. Bake for 30 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm or cooled. Makes about 20 servings. For a smaller crowd, cut recipe in half and bake in a deep dish pie pan. |
