RECIPE

Raisin Bread
(for bread machines)
10 to 11 oz. of water

1-1/2 teaspoons salt

2 tablespoons butter or margarine

4 cups whole wheat or 50/50 proof bread

flour

3 tablespoons Sucanat or honey

2 tablespoons dry powdered milk or

powdered soy milk

1-1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

2-1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

1 cup raisins

Measure all ingredients, except raisins, into bread pan in the order listed.

Select basic setting.

Press the start button to begin the bread-making process.

During the second kneading cycle (usually about 40 minutes into process) add the raisins, a few at a time.

When finished baking, remove the bread, cool slightly and slice into thick slices.

Top with raw honey, 100% fruit spread, peach or apple butter.
