Lost Creek Township Trustee

Rick Long has served as the Lost Creek Township Trustee since January 1, 1999. He has improved the cemetery care of the township and made many improvements to the Anna Dickerson Park in Seelyville. Rick is a strong believer in community service and has established a "Workfare Program" for those that recieve assistance from the Trustee Office. With the partnership of the Plumbers and Steamfitters in Lost Creek Township and their youth program, Rick has been able to provide improvements to the cemeteries and at the same time save taxpayers money and help teach young adults skills that will help them in thier future. He is a graduate of North Vigo High School and is a member of the Seelyville Volunteer Fire Department where he serves as a Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician. Rick is licensed as a multi-lines insurance agent and works for a major insurance company serving Vigo County and the surrounding area. He currently serves as President of the Pachyderm Club in Vigo County and is a board member of the Friends of Seelyville, Inc. Rick's wife, Susan, owns and operates Susan's Sewing Shop in Seelyville. Rick has 2 daughters and 1 grandson. Rick's parents are Larry and Lucy Long of Seelyville.
