A Journal of the Bob and Brennan Kuhns Trip Out West in the Summer of 1997.

We left home on a journey to go out west.  Just as did the early pioneers, we encountered long days on the road, difficulties, joys, rain, and changes of plans.  In addition, we even had a snowball fight in July.

We accomplished the big mission.  We saw the west.  We accomplished the most important sub-mission.  We visited the Dragon's Lair.  We spent 22 days away from home and family and friends.  On the trip, the pop-up trailer had protected us from wind, rain, lightning, blazing heat, and nighttime critters.  Actually, the lightning mention is just because lightning did not hit us, it just hit close.

When we got home, there was a bulge in the top of the closed down pop-up trailer.  I knew where Brennan and I were, so no hurry to find out what was jammed in there.

I took a steno pad along in which to record our adventures, joys, disasters, and duldrums.  Some of the early pioneers kept journals of their travels, and it is those journals that tell us what their experience was like.  So here are my journals to encourage others to go out west.  I am ready to go again.
