In early 2001, Mr. Ron Bath, an NRC contractor employee, was fired after reporting criminal misconduct
on the part of NRC employees. He was fired at the direct request of one of the NRC employees he blew the whistle on. The NRC
Inspector General (IG) concluded that Mr. Bath was fired in direct retaliation for his disclosures. Then, the three NRC employees
who he had accused were arrested, and all were either convicted or pled guilty. Although his allegations were found to be
true, and the IG found he had in fact been retaliated against as a consequence of blowing the whistle, the NRC continues to
fight Ron Bath’s case - because first of all, NRC contractors do not have whistleblower protections, and second of all,
because Mr. Bath was a contractor retaliated against by a federal employee – and that situation was never considered
when the whistleblower laws were written.

of US Congressman Ed Markey (D) Massachusetts Seventh District
My Silence Must
Be Broken!
.
My name is Ron Bath... I was fired by the Nuclear
Regulatory Commission, Region 4, in Arlington, Texas in retaliation for making true allegations of criminal misconduct of
NRC employees. These government officials were arrested on criminal felony violations.
This site tells the story about
how I stood up to these bullies, and of my continuing struggle for justice these five years after this tragic event.
After four years of faithful service to the NRC, 1997, 1998, 1999, and
2000, I was fired on December 21, 2000 in retaliation by my supervisor, for turning him and his fellow criminals in for felony
criminal misconduct.
I had remained silent for the first three years while I have pursued
every honorable and possible legal avenue that my attorney and I could think of. I waited patiently in limbo, placing my families
lives on hold while waiting for resolution and remedy to my case that was never to come. I believe that the NRC deliberately
planned to keep me hanging on until they starved me into quiet submission. Through the hope of a fair settlement,
hanging over my head, I guess the NRC thought they had control over me and had successfully secured my silence.
In 2004 I read an "official turn down letter" that Chairman Nils
J. Diaz, of the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission sent my attorney, Billie Pirner Garde. It was sent shortly
after Chairman Diaz sent a letter of reply to Congressman Edward Markey (D) MA which was essentially a scam, in my opinion
and belief. Its brevity made quick reading. His answer to my request was No!
At least that was the bottom line to his "weasel worded" reply.
In his response to this third letter of congressional inquiry,
over a dozen detailed questions requiring detailed responses were ignored with wording that made it appear that he could
not respond due to my "pending" legal claim with the NRC being under their consideration. To add insult to injury,
Chairman Diaz's letter of response was almost two months late for the "no later than" date requested by Congressman Markey
for Diaz's reply.
Diaz surely knew he was planning to deny my Tort Claim, and merely used
this ploy to keep from answering, in my opinion and belief, some very embarrassing questions about his organizations'
highly questionable actions with respect to my being fired.
Congressman Markey never followed up after the official rejection by Commissioner
Diaz. I wonder to this day why Congressmand Markey and Billy Pirner Gard, my attorney stopped their efforts to help
me. It's as thought they both just gave up and gave in. I cannot accept, nor do that. My site will continue tell of
of the corruption within the NRC until justice has been done!
Enough is enough! David took on Goliath.
I went public with my knowledge of the NRC's alleged dirty tricks,
secret double standard and acts of obstruction of justice.
I continue asking for media and public support; your support!
My life has been ruined by this government agency. They refused to take responsibility for their negligent and
unethical actions. They have been dishonest with me and with those officials that have sought to help right the NRC's
shameful wrong. This cannot and will not be tolerated one day longer.
