The Nuclear Regulatory Commission
Led by
Chairman Nils J. Diaz

I recently found it important to try and find out where these NRC people came from.  At first I thought it would be useful to understand where they come from with respect to ideology.  I now understand that it is even more important to understand where they come from geographically.  Where they come from and where they spend their time isn't necessarily in the USA.

From reading about my case, Ron Bath VS the NRC, you have learned that members of the NRC allegedly make bad decisions, lie to officials and stand poorly on human rights decisions.

My investigation started out in a far different direction than where it ended.  In my opinion and belief, what I found was a model for possible divided loyalties and early exposure to negative human rights doctrine.

Reading only one article about individual NRC officials shows a simple viewpoint.  What is disturbing is when you cross reverence the information found in more than one article and see the big picture of their views, affiliations and activities. This is greatly compounded when you review and compare one NRC official's article against the other. A whole new dynamic may be seen as it comes into view.

Nils J. Diaz is the Chairman of NRC Commissioners.

President Clinton named Dr. Nils Diaz and Edward McGaffigan, Jr. to the Commission.

Nils J. Diaz was reappointed to the post by President George W. Bush on April 01, 2003.  Chairman Diaz has had a long career in the nuclear industry.  He also has been a consultant to Spain's nuclear regulatory commission. Chairman Diaz's subordinate, Edward McGaffigan,  was a senior policy advisor to Sen. Jeff Bingaman (D-N.M.) and a former science attach'e to the U.S. Embassy in Moscow

Let's examine Chairman Diaz's background.

o Raised and educated in Cuba
o Served as consultant to Spain's nuclear regulatory commission
o Champion for plan to buy weapon grade nuclear materials from Russia
o Works with Edward McGaffigan, Jr. former science attach'e to the U.S.
   Embassy in Moscow
o Both Diaz and McGaffigan have publically made statements implying that
President Bush, their Boss, has lied to the American people

Examples of Radical NRC Views

Nils Diaz of the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission discussed the US program of buying enriched uranium from Russia, downgrading it, and using it for energy generation. "Despite the tradition of dividing civilian and military nuclear materials", he argued," the present efforts show that this is an artificial distinction that has outlived its usefulness".

An artificial distinction that has outlived its usefulness?  I wonder what our military leaders would think of this new found wisdom? Intelligence analysts might not agree.  Just because there are present efforts by Chairman Diaz to invoke a contrary idea, it doesn't automatically rule a distinction to be artificial and condemn its usefulness. US Intelligence analysts might be well served to take a long, hard look at prevailing motives and affiliations related to this international initiative and related issues.

Diaz, who has a doctorate in nuclear science and has been in the business for 40 years, also said he doesn’t believe Osama bin Laden or his al-Qaida terrorist organization has access to nuclear weapons.

“I believe they have no capabilities whatsoever,” Diaz said. “Some of those things are purposely planted to create fear,” he said.

Will this viewpoint expressed by the NRC's boss have any impact on the vigilance at US nuclear power plants and national security? My point; If you don't believe a wolfs at your door, you probably won't be prepared to greet him in an appropriate defensive manner.

Spotlight on NRC Officials

Learning where NRC leaders come from, both philosophically and geographically has helped me to understand some of the very negative and harsh stands they have taken on human rights as they apply to their handling of the case of Ron Bath VS the NRC.

They have taken 3 years to allegedly ignore and deceive Ron Bath and a number of government officials investigating the case. Now the spotlight is on the NRC and the people that run it.

For all the fairness and compassion Ron Bath has received from the NRC to date, his case might have well been reviewed and sanctioned in Cuba  or Russia.

Ron Bath has a long memory and can still remember the terror and threat of being killed as a grade school child in the 1950's and 1960's as he and millions of other American children were lined up against school walls with their heads down in civil defense drills. The threat came from Russian Missiles.  As a high school student he witnessed President John F. Kennedy stand up to Cuba and Russia with a blockade that turned ships with Russian missiles headed to Cuba around and prevented America from having a gun pointed to her head.

This is not Cuba or Russia, thank God, and the final decision on the Ron Bath case should be made in the USA by Americans who think and act like Americans.

Ron Bath is still waiting  for that day to come.

Until that day, it is my opinion and belief that Chairman Nils J. Diaz, Commissioner Edward McGaffigan, Jr. and the other Commissioners have some explaining to do. Their decisions and stands on some issues don't seem to quite make sense.  They may have a hidden agenda, but it probably won't remain hidden for long.  After all, now it's their turn to be in the spotlight.

Homeland Security

A Note to US Intelligence Officers... for many years I served under government organizations such as the Department of Defense.  During my years possessing security clearances with the US and NATO, I was required to report any and all travel to foreign countries and contact with foreign nationals.  It was the law.  An updated list of restricted countries was posted to inform us of any countries that we were not supposed to travel to, or have contact with.  During  those days Cuba and Soviet Block countries were always on the restricted list.

It might prove beneficial to review individuals mentioned in this article and determine if all their contacts with foreign powers and representative foreign nationals were reported and documented appropriately in accordance with US security clearance requirements.

Hope for the Day

May where you come from, the company you keep and where you place your loyalties never prevent you from doing the right and honest thing.

Have an American Day,

Ron Bath

Ron Bath is still waiting for the day that he will receive justice at the hands of the NRC.

Apology, Compensation, Justice.
