One Tiny Detail Is All It Takes

One tiny detail is all it takes...  You've probably heard all the horror stories of underrated materials and components being substitued for NRC approved items and the terrible danger and dire consequences that could occur in such situations.  Remember the one about the contractor that intentionally used "under specification" welding rods to weld rebar structural support bars at a nuclear power plant?  The contractor thought it was "no big deal" and would save thousands of dollars by using material "off spec" by one tiny word.  Perhaps the word related to the materials hardness specification.

The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission experts probably were unaware that the incorrect structural steel welds were made and buried inside thousands of tons of concrete used in forming vast and crucial containment buildings.

One small word, overlooked, one small detail slipped by and the recipe for disaster was in place waiting to unleash the death dealing elements that it was supposed to contain.

How would this tiny yet potentially deadly error be detected.  In this scenareo, the answer is by the action of an alert and honest whistleblower, one who reveals wrongdoing within an organization to the public or to those in positions of authority.

In another incident, Ron Bath was the whistleblower to the NRC reporting allegations of felony criminal misconduct, safety concerns and gross mismanagement.

The NRC micro-manages every aspect of licensing, construction, operation and even decommissioning of our countries nuclear power plants.  Every little detail down to a single word is considered important and worth the effort.  One little word added or removed from a component building specification or an operational procedure can mean the difference between safe operation and potential disaster.

One tiny word... is all it took for the NRC to find an excuse, an insignificant loophole which Chairman Nils J. Diaz and his fellow NRC commissioners believe they can hide behind and deny Ron Bath justice and relief from persecution in the case of Ron Bath VS The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The word was "contractor".

NRC Commissioner Nils Diaz and his cronies revel in the fact that this "contractor" loophole in the law shields them from being held accountable for the negligence, bad judgment and shameful conduct of senior management at the region 4 NRC office in Arlington, Texas that led to Ron's being fired in retaliation. Retaliation for embarrassing them for allowing a felony criminal operation to be run out of the local NRC office under their very noses.

January 29, 2004 Loopholes in The Law Large Enough for The NRC Officials to Hide Behind

Ron Bath's life is truly held in the balance and one tiny word is all it would take to bring an honest and just conclusion.  The NRC needs to get over the word "contractor" and quit hiding behind it in order to deprive Ron Bath and his family justice and compensation for the great wrong they have done to them.

Due to the direct actions of NRC employees, while conducting criminal activities within the region 4 offices of the NRC in Arlington, Texas, Ron Bath was fired in retaliation and subsequently lost his home, new truck, life savings, credit, and the ability to pay for his children's college education.  The resultant stress, pressure and belief that his government had failed him, placed Ron in a downward physical spiral that resulted in his being diagnosed with Diabetes and treated for Clinical Depression.

A life held in the balance?  You bet it is.  It's terrible to have such personal loss because you did the honest thing and got retaliated against by your government employer.  A life's savings and all you have worked your whole life for can vanish during a year plus of being without work. A person's family should not be made to suffer due to their taking a stand of honesty against criminal employees of a governmental regulatory agency.

The NRC and its fearless leader Nils J. Diaz should be ashamed of their treatment of the Ron Bath case.

If you read this and are a journalist or person that think they may help, please contact Ron Bath at rlbath@verizon.net.  He plans to leave no stone unturned in this, the fight for his life. Ron cannot succeed alone, he needs your help!

Ron Bath owes successful resolution to his wife Ellen, daughter Keri and son Aaron. He feels terrible that they have suffered such personal loss because he did the honest thing, took action mandated by his security clearance and turned in criminals at the NRC. The NRC's retribution has cost them everything,

Coming soon... an analysis of lies the NRC has told officials about the Ron Bath Case.  The truth will be revealed, and when it is, there will be a lot of red faces in Washington D.C. and Arlington, Texas.

Have a balanced day!

Ron

Ron Bath is growing impatient waiting for the day that he will receive justice at the hands of the NRC.
