Reunion 2005
Reunion 2000
Greetings,

The 25th Ex-Cadet Reunion for the Class of '85 is being held this fall at RMC, with events
planned from Thursday Sep 30 through Sunday Oct 3. In case you're thinking you're not old, think
again, because the Commandant at RMC is our classmate, Admiral William Truelove (RRMC
'85)-Congratulations Bill! Which means you'll need to be on your best behaviour! I would like this
reunion to be the best attended, and want to include everyone from the Class of '85. I suggest you
put it on your calendar NOW using whatever method needed to have you be in Kingston from
Sep 30 to Oct 3. You are a member of the Class of '85 if you:

1. Entered prep year at CMR in 1980;

2. Entered RMC, RRMC or CMR in 1981;

3. Graduated from CMR, RMC or RRMC in 1985; and/or

4. Are the surviving spouse of a member of the Class of '85.

Ex-Cadets by Class - 9:30am start

Andrews, Philip Cowie, Jacqueline Eastman, Chris Mariner, Karen Ritchie, Lee Webster)
immediately following the morning parade.

In order to plan for our Meet & Greet on the Friday night (Oct 1), I'll need your RSVP. Please
email me with whether or not you plan to attend the Meet & Greet. Our Class of '85 website will
soon be updated, the database too. If you're in touch with members of our class that I may have
missed or have incorrect information, please email me their information so it can be updated.

Our class meeting on Saturday Oct 2, following the morning parade, will discuss the following:
Nominations for Class of '85 Secretary (again); Gift to the College in 2015 (the Class voted in
2005 to skip a Class Gift in 2010, in order to give a Class Gift of $100,000 at our 30th Reunion
in 2015), need someone to head this effort; and any proposed new business.

As most of you know, Karen Ritchie, Class of '85, died in October 2008. The First 32 Fund was
established through the Girl Guides of Canada in her name. If you're interested in making a
donation, the link is:

Any changes to the above events will be sent via email, with notices in Veritas (or E-Veritas). I
welcome your questions, suggestions and feedback. I have updated the class website database,
however, there are email addresses I don't have. If you have them, please share them with me, so
we can get the word out to all classmates. You can contact me at rmc85@verizon.net. Thanks in
advance.

Take care and I hope to see you this fall in Kingston.

Dutifully yours,
