Eric Roath's Astronomy Page

If you made it here, you probably either know me or saw my profile on a site dedicated to either astronomy equipment or musical instruments. If you're interested in building a medium size telescope for the first time, you may find some interesting pictures and I'd be happy to answer any questions and offer my opinions. I've owned a lot of astronomy equipment over the years so plan to eventually post my thoughts on items I've owned. As for musical instruments (mainly guitar and bass), I probably won't put much on this site other than maybe some pictures of instruments I own.

Future additions planned for this site - more Dob construction details, opinions on equipment I've owned.

Homemade Dob My brother-in-law and I each spent about a year of our time slowly building our own 17.5 inch truss tube Dobsonian telescopes. Since then, these have become our primary scopes for our monthly trips to the local desert, Anza Borrego, Ca. (Click picture for more details and pictures).
Some of my other astronomy equipment includes a Meade 10 inch LX200 Schmidt-Cassegrain (which is my backyard scope), TMB 92mm SS refractor, Losmandy GM-8 mount, WO EZTouch mount, and, of course, Tele Vue Nagler and Ethos eyepieces. (Click picture for more info). Scope Equipment
Astrophotos I have tried my hand at astrophotograpy a couple of times but have never really spent too much time on it. (Click picture for some samples).
