NUMBER OF HOURS: basic stuff is only 2 hours; can be extended as needed.

DESCRIPTION: Many of us have questions when we get started:

  • How does the pixel array determine the quality of the photo?
  • How can you save great pictures without using up all your free disk space?
  • What resolution (dots per inch or pixels) is best for web postings?
  • What about scanners?
  • Should you spend a lot of money on image editing software?
  • What role does the printer play in my decisions?

Digital photography is fast becoming the media of choice for amateurs and professionals alike. But using a digital camera effectively, and knowing which editing capabilities to consider, can be a daunting task.
Come learn about what’s out there and discuss ideas with your peers about using this tool to change your teaching and improve your students’ learning.

Topics will include sharing ideas at all grade levels for Math, Science, Tech Ed, ELA, Social Studies, Art, and more. Bring your own camera, or one of your school’s cameras.
