Hazen's Classes related to Information Technology

  • Wikis, blogs & podcasts for the classroom - This class can be as brief or as involved as the participants want. A 3-hour overview will just scratch the surface, while 9-18 hours will alow the participants to try some of the technologies. The nature of these products suggests that learning will be ongoing.
  • Inspiration & Kidspiration - computer-based Graphic Organizers for classroom use. Free site licenses are available from the company for all NYS Teacher Centers to provide instruction. Both these classes are typically only 3 hours.
  • Portable Applications - software applications from the open-source field, includes programs which run on typical USB memory sticks, and leave no footprint behind on the host computers. Great for teachers who want good software for free, and for those who work at multiple sites within, or between, districts.
