| NAE Caranfil RELOADED On April 8, 9 and 11
you can watch two movies directed by Nae Caranfil on two venues.
The added bonus is the presence of the director and his wife, actress
Mara Nicolescu. For those that are not familiar with the Romanian
cinematography, Mr. Caranfil's "Philanthropy" (2002) is a good
introduction to the Romanian society and its problems. The film
is very well put together and the script is carefully balanced to keep
the viewer interested until the end. A question in the movie
blogs is "Is this the best Romanian movie ?". See for

shows are in California. However, one show is allocated to MA at

| LOST RELATIVES A Romanian family is
looking for lost relatives in the Boston area. They are looking
for a person (or his descendants) by the name of Pop Pavel born in 1901
in Tauti-Magheraus, Maramures. Mr. Pavel left Romania in 1925 or
1926 and settled in the Boston area. The relatives have some
information that Mr. Pavel might have passed away and that he was a
resident of Massachusetts all his life. If you have any
