MASSIVE REFORMATION OF

The U.S. Army has begun a massive reformation of its “entire culture” as it transitions for aggressive counterinsurgency warfare.  A new manual soon to be published establishes a new doctrine for the use of military power, away from traditional uses of firepower and battlefield maneuvers in swift, decisive operations against a conventional enemy. Instead, the new doctrine emphasizes the safeguarding and welfare of civilians, restoration of essential services and a rapid deployment of local security forces, while discouraging aggressive raids and mistreatment of detainees.

The new doctrine is said to have been formulated “bottoms up,” using the experience of soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan that confirmed the desirability of irregular warfare and of civilian protection and cooperation. But protecting civilians is a very labor-intensive task. The restrained number of U.S. and British troops operating against Islamists worldwide, while effective in disrupting identifiable foes, often does not have the manpower to stay and work with the populations to gain their trust and support, as effective counterinsurgency requires. So, as troops have departed populations have been left defenseless against a key insurgency strategy, intimidation and fear, as jihadists move back in next door, perhaps to establish one of their infamous torture houses.

The military has already put the new manual into effect, revising the curriculum at its war colleges and training facilities. “The more force used, the less effective it is;” about hunkering down at large bases: “The more you protect your force, the less secure you are;” “Tactical success guarantees nothing.”

Currently, the Army claims insufficient funding, troop and personnel support to meet its global missions while it makes a significant commitment to irregular warfare. extract: New York Times, October 5, 2006.

… according to State's 2005 International Narcotics Control Strategy Report, Saudi donors and unregulated charities have been a major source of financing to extremist and terrorist groups over the past 25 years … in July 2005, a Treasury official testified before Congress that Saudi Arabian Wahhabist-based and funded organizations remain a key source for the promotion of ideologies used by terrorists and violent extremists around the world … some half dozen of the most visible charities, including two of Saudi Arabia's largest, the International Islamic Relief Organization and the World Muslim League, have been linked to supporting Islamic terrorist organizations globally … the threat of the global propagation of Islamic extremism is emerging not only from Saudi sources but also from sources in other countries, such as Iran, Kuwait, and Syria, as well as from indigenous groups within some countries …

Recognizing that the global propagation of Islamic extremism represents a growing threat to U.S. interests … the government of Saudi Arabia, with some assistance from the United States, has announced and, in some cases, reportedly undertaken a number of reform efforts to address Islamic extremism, including educational, religious, legal, and political reforms … (but) there is very little discussion of whether Saudi officials merely use individuals as a way to advance an extremist policy but still maintain plausible deniability with the West … U.S. agencies (still in 2006) do not know the extent of the Saudi government's efforts to limit the activities of Saudi individuals and entities that have allegedly propagated Islamic extremism outside of Saudi Arabia … more than four years after 9-11, U.S. government efforts to counter Islamic extremism are hampered by the lack of a common definition of Islamic extremism. On Friday, December 2, 2005, the State of Connecticut was forced to shut down its 50 State court houses following 5 phone calls in which the callers said that bombs had been placed in court houses, thus terminating State litigations for the day as the court houses were checked for bombs. This followed bombings in  Bangladesh which shut down that nation’s legal proceedings (see World of Qur’an, Bangladesh), indicating that a new tactic by Islamists in the current Holy War may be being used in the U.S.

As the Saudi Crown Prince was on his way to hold hands and kissey face with the U.S. President in Texas, Saudi religious police raided a Christian religious service.

... in a private apartment and arrested 40 participating Pakistanis as part of a sweeping operation ordered by Riyadh Governor Prince Salman bin Abd Al-'Aziz.  The Saudi daily newspaper Al-Riyadh report included this photo of the arrested ones (with eyes besmeared), a pulpit draped with a large cross, a small organ and various church materials. A spokesman for the religious police, the Muttawa,  said the worshipers had been arrested for trying “…to spread the poison and their beliefs to others…” One of the arrested was a Muslim attracted by Christianity, liable for severe punishment for apostasy under Saudi-Shari'ah law. Dr. Wadud delivered the sermon preceding the congregational noon prayers, called Jum'ah, which is the weekly highlight of Muslim worship. Her group, the Muslim Women's Freedom Tour, plans other similar events around the nation to affirm the right of women to be spiritual leaders.

On the soft (nonmilitary) side of the Islamist jihad against Western democracy, special enclaves are being formed in the U.S. for Muslims only, communities to be governed by Sharia (Shari’a) law. Promoters of these enclaves offer an ideology, Islam, which is not only a religion but a system of government at odds with the principles of the U.S. Constitution. Pretending to accept democracy, Islamists are using democracy to implement their agenda while rejecting its principles in preference to Sharia law, to them a perfect legal system given by god and not subject to alteration by elections and popular opinion.

Islamists are seeking the imposition of a pan-Islamist realm and see secular modernity and the democratic practices of egalitarianism, individual rights, and free exercise of religion as a direct and substantial threat to their belief system. To attain this imposition of Islam in the U.S., they are intent on employing both subterfuge and violence for the foreseeable future.

In the U.S., such separate-but-equal proto-enclaves have been established in Baltimore, Maryland as the Gwynn Oaks Muslim Residential Development group and also, in August 2004, The Islamic Center for Human Excellence obtained authorization to build an internal Islamic enclave to include a mosque, a school, and twenty-two homes. The Little Rock enclave is financed by "Islam 4 the World," an organization sponsored by the Emirate of Sharjah, one of the constituent emirates of the United Arab Emirates.

Past investments in Europe and the U.S. by rulers and institutions of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and other wealthy Gulf states have promoted radical (Wahhabist) interpretations of Islam and resulted in the spread of intolerant practices.

In September 2004, the New Jersey branch of the Islamic Circle of North America rented Six Flags Adventure Park in New Jersey for "The Great Muslim Adventure Day." The advertisement announcing the event stated: "The entire park for Muslims only."

With the growth of the Muslim community in the United States, an increasingly active Islamist lobby has submitted numerous white papers and amicus briefs to legislators and courts arguing for the religious right of Muslims to apply Sharia law. QUR’ANIC LAW COMES TO AMERICA?

On January 14, 2005 the Aramanios family of four, including two daughters aged 15 and 8, were found dead in separate rooms of their home in Jersey City, NJ, bound and gagged. Dead several days, the Christian Coptic immigrants from Egypt had been savagely executed in the ritualistic Islamist manner, with multiple knife attacks and near-beheadings.

Neighbors say the family was exuberantly enjoying their American liberties, fully exercising their freedoms of religion and of speech. The Coptic Church, one of the most ancient sects of Christianity, was predominant in Egypt until the coming of Islam in the eighth century C.E and its subsequent relegation to a persecuted, subservient status under the "one true religion."

In Jersey City, Egyptian Muslims and Coptic Christians have been living side by side: since the late 1960s the city’s Egyptian population has climbed to some 25 percent of the city's total of 240,000. But some have begun to call Jersey City ''Terror City."  Several local imams have been convicted or charged with raising funds for foreign terrorists and a devout Muslim was convicted in March 2004 of murdering his pregnant wife, her mother, and her sister in the name of Islam, stabbing the women more than 20 times each because they refused to convert to Islam. The city was home to several of the men, including Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman, convicted in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

The family’s personal and Internet proselytizing and their conversion of some Muslims to Christianity is thought to have brought them to the attention of those intent on enforcing Sharia (Qur’anic law) in the U.S.  Under this law, death is the penalty for those who convert from Islam and for those doing the conversions. An Islamist web site had carried a threat to Mr. Aramanios: "We are going to track you down like a chicken and kill you."

A close friend of Mr. Aramanios says that he had seemingly converted several Muslims who had actually been practicing taqiyya (religious deception), pretending to be friends.  It was they, he said, who had committed the assassinations, happily welcomed into the home, thus no sign of forced entry.

Now Egyptian Muslims and Coptic Christians who flourished side by side for decades are finding the tensions that divided them in their homeland have followed them. Rumors continue to swirl that the killers were angry Islamists retaliating for “anti-Islamic” activities. Days after the murders, the US Copts Association, posted a statement on its website that said, ''The Armanious family members are modern-day martyrs in Islamic fundamentalists' war on Christianity . . . Al Qaeda is not only in the Middle East, but in New Jersey." They believe that Islamic militants are telling them not to expect America to keep them safe from Islamic law.

Law enforcement authorities say they believe that theft may have been the motive for the murders and that they have found “no facts at this point” to substantiate that religion motivated the killings, despite extensive circumstantial evidence.

A CLASH OF IDEAS —

THE CATASTROPHIC THREAT OF ISLAMISM REVEALED

On July 22, 2004 the final report of the 9/11 Commission (The National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States) for the first time officially named

“Islamist terrorism … a hostility toward us and our values [that] is limitless” that is the

“catastrophic threat” facing America. 

The commission further affirmed that the Islamist goal is “to rid the world of religious and political pluralism.”

On the same day, the U. S. President for the first time used the term “Islamic militants” in a speech. Islamist militants would have been the correct terminology, at least according to the Commission, as "Islam is not the enemy ... Lives guided by religious faith, including literal beliefs in holy scriptures, are common to every religion, and represent no threat to us."

The United States thus took a major step away from the previously misleading and “politically correct” “war on terrorism” terminology and called the enemy by its true name, facing squarely the real nature of the totalitarian ideology that lies behind the current holy war, i.e., Islamism, the “radical ideological movement in the Islamic world ...  a long tradition of extreme intolerance within one stream of Islam (a minority tradition)" -- originating in Saudi Arabian Wahhabism.  "That stream is motivated by religion and does not distinguish politics from religion, thus distorting both." 

Offering a series of goals for the on-going war, the Commission distinguished the enemy’s double nature: 1) the radical Islamist ideology (attracting wide and active support among "disaffected" Muslims) which would survive even after 2) “al Qaeda, a stateless network of terrorists” is destroyed.

Thus, “the United States has to help defeat an ideology, not just a group [groups] of people.” 

“Tolerance, the rule of law, political and economic openness, the extension of greater opportunities to women — these cures must come from within Muslim societies themselves.”  The clash is a clash “within a civilization” [the Islamic one] and Muslims must “reflect upon such basic issues as the concept of jihad, the position of women, and the place of non-Muslim minorities,” and develop new Islamic interpretations of these. Such evolution “will be violently opposed” by Islamists and their terrorist organizations.  “The United States must support such developments” as well as dismantle Islamist terrorist networks.

On March 23, 2004 in the Dirksen Senate Office Building, Sun Myung Moon of South Korea proclaimed himself Messiah during an elaborate “Crown of Peace Ceremony” attended by some 300, including Congresspersons of both political parties. Through canny and expensive PR strategies, Moon has become a VIP among national-level Washington, D.C. politicians,

Rep. Davis (D-IL) wore white gloves and carried a pillow holding an ornate bejeweled crown that was placed on Moon’s head.  In his long speech, Moon said he was “sent to Earth to save the world’s six billion people … Emperors, kings and presidents…have declared to all Heaven and Earth that Reverend Sun Myung Moon is none other than humanity’s Savior, Messiah, Returning Lord and True Parent.”  In a 1997 sermon, Moon likened homosexuals to “dirty dung-eating dogs.” Other Moonisms: “Individualism is what God hates most” … “The separation between religion and politics is what Satan likes most."  “I influence America through the Washington Times and so many different activities.”  "The whole world is in my hand, I will conquer and subjugate the world."  "Today God's word comes only through the Father [Moon].  if other people receive God's word that word is that Reverend Moon is the Messiah.""

According to the invitation, the event's co-sponsors were the United Press International Foundation, the American Family Coalition, the American Clergy Leadership Conference and the Women's Federation for World Peace, organizations said to have long been associated with Moon, as well as by the Washington Times Foundation, a conservative-leaning newspaper owned by the Unification Church, which Moon founded.  The question of how the event obtained Senate approval is “shrouded in mystery, said a key organizer -- Archbishop George A. Stallings Jr., a former Roman Catholic priest who is pastor of the Imani Temple, an independent African American Catholic congregation in Northeast Washington. (Washingtonpost.com, June 23, 2004)

Moon charged in 1982 for tax violations and running a criminal enterprise, was convicted and given an 18 month sentence and a $15,000 fine. He served 13 months of the sentence at Danbury minimum-security prison and because of "good behavior" was released to a half-way house.

The coronation was the grand finale of Moon's coast-to-coast "tear down the cross" Moonification tour, intended to remove Christian crosses from almost 300 churches in poor neighborhoods -- the idea being that the cross is an obstacle to uniting religions under Moon.

Moon's vision of the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth includes the absorption of all the world religions into Unificationism as well as the abolishment of all languages except Korean. Core Moonie members do a ritual pledge service every Sunday morning, bowing before an altar with Moon's picture on it and promising to fight for the Fatherland (Korea).
