WHY THIS PAGE . . .

There are any number of issues to which I take exception, sometimes apoplectically. Some are political in nature; national, or even global. Others are local, or merely personal annoyances. When I see something that irks me I like to bitch about it. I tried writing to the newspaper and was frustrated by having my views published at the whim of an editor, or finding them altered to the point where the emphasis is lost or obscured, so I decided to post this site. Here I can write what I want, when I want, and not have it modified in any way.

The media, especially the Cape Cod Times, with the exception of a very few columnists and letter writers, have a pronounced liberal and/or politically-correct slant. For every published letter to the editor from a dissenting viewpoint there are many others who agree with the paper. This can’t be coincidence. I believe letters are intentionally chosen for publication in order to delude readers into believing that we who disagree with the liberal or politically correct crowd are non-existent or in the minority. News stories, too, are slanted or ignored to promote a particular agenda.

This page is an attempt to set the record straight on many of the misleading and downright inaccurate statements found in the news, to respond to some of the more outrageous things politicians and others are trying to put over on us, to rebut everything with which I disagree, and to point out whatever I find fault with. I may even make favorable comments upon anything I might find deserving. Briefly, it gives me a chance to duscuss anything I feel like.
