NEUROTRANSMITTER TESTING

Results

12-27-06

SEROTONIN:  your test result is: 85.4

Optimal day range-150 to 200

Optimal night range-100 to 175

Optimal midrange result: 175

Serotonin is a major inhibitory transmitter that calms and

stabilizes the body and brain.

Adequate levels make you feel calm, patient, focused, creative,

optimistic, good natured, able to relax, sleep deeply and feel

emotionally stable.

Low serotonin levels make you feel depressed, anxious, irritable,

short tempered, impatient, impulsive, over reactive to stress

and stimuli, have a short attention span and compulsive behaviors,

seem blocked or scattered, have plunging moods, exhaustion

and severe body aches and pains.

DOPAMINE:   your test result is: 163.6

Optimal day range-110 to 175

Optimal night range-80 to 120

Optimal midrange result: 145

Dopamine is an excitatory or stimulating neurotransmitter

which increases activity in the nerve cells.

Adequate dopamine allow calm and focused moods, clear

thinking with integrated thoughts and feelings. It allows

you to feel pleasure, loving attachment and concern for others.

It is a precursor to norepinepherine and epinephrine.

Low dopamine levels make you feel life is colorless or dull,

appear cold or uncaring, low sensory pleasures, lack of warm

and loving feelings, lack of attachment to others, lack of remorse

about actions and easily distracted.

EPINEPHERINE:  your test result is: 3.9

Optimal day range- 8 to 12

Optimal night range- 1 to 3

Optimal midrange result:  10

Epinepherine is an excitatory neurotransmitter also called Adrenalin,

a potent stress hormone made by the adrenal glands that is released

in response to short or long term stressors.

This hormone/neurotransmitter is needed to help the body cope with life threatening, immediate stressful situations.  It is depleted by ongoing

and long term stress.

When the level is high it indicates that the adrenal glands are excreting

large quantities of adrenalin and the body is in fight/flight mode.

When the level is low it indicates that the adrenal glands are exhausted

and unable to sustain energy and provide any more emergence adrenalin.

NOREPINEPHERINE:  your test result is: 73.9

Optimal day range -35 to 60

Optimal night range – 20 to 30

Optimal midrange result: 47

Norepinepherine stimulates the heart, blood vessels, sweat glands,

internal organs and brain. It increases alertness and mental activity.

Stress increases this neurotransmitter and produces anxiety and over stimulation of the sympathetic nervous system.Low levels are seen

in lack of energy and motivation and depression.

GABA:  your test result is:  2.9

Optimal day range- 1.5 to 4

Optimal night range- 1 to 3

Optimal midrange result: 2.7

GABA is present in 40% of the neuron synapses and is a major

inhibitory neurotransmitter. Adequate levels control anxiety,

impulsiveness and arousal and balance the brain chemistry.

It has a calming effect and aids in increasing the sleep cycle

producing vivid dreaming.

Deficiencies produce panic, free floating anxiety, racing

thoughts, rapid heartbeat, and inability to fall asleep or stay asleep.
