Digestive Wellness Support

Eat smaller portions at a meal and eat more frequently. Eat breakfast, a mid-morning snack, lunch, a mid-afternoon snack, dinner and a small snack before bedtime.

Eat your meals on a regular schedule. This reduces hunger and lets the body adapt to some regularity in food intake and elimination.

Eat sitting down. Pay attention to what you are eating and relax while you enjoy your food. This increases the pleasure associated with food which is meant to nourish and restore your body’s energy.

Plan your meals so that you have the needed food items on hand and can easily prepare a meal.

Avoid drinking cold liquids with your food as this retards digestive juices needed to process your food into energy.

Iced drinks and soft drinks should be avoided as they slow the digestive system.

Drink filtered water at a cool or room temperature.

Cold raw foods like salads are hard to digest. Cold dairy products such as ice cream or very cold milk products should be avoided.

Cool down after exercise and before you eat or drink liquids.

Avoid fried foods and highly spicy foods as this upsets the stomach.

Eat warm slow cooked foods like soups and stews to warm the digestive system.

Take digestive enzymes with each meal to support the conversion of food into energy.
