The Pain That Thinks it has Me

I sit in the window
Watch the kids play outside
My heart longs to join them
My feet wish to fly
The dreams and the hopes
Yes, surely they’re there
Lying just outside my grasp
RSD it says no, not ever, not now
But in my mind I put up a fight
I may have it there’s no denying that
But it doesn’t have me
And that too is a fact
I will over come it
My struggles will go
Someday I shall be free
Free from pain that thinks it has me
