The Robotech Companion is created as the ideal web site and handbook to the authentic Robotech universe following the 85 episodes of the Robotech TV series. Its goal is to provide the fandom and new Robotech fans with the most correct comprehensive resource guide to the Robotech universe, the TV series, and its production. The Companion's second goal is to serve the Robotech community with news, multimedia, software files, a message board, chat room, and more. We are devoted to bring a new age to the Robotech fandom that will finally bring all the resources of Robotech, the TV series and the web into one place. For the first time, there will finally be a web site that is actually focused and understands the 85 episodes of Robotech. The Companion fully believes and stands by the original Robotech TV series that was aired in the United States during 1985. The series was the first thing ever made for Robotech. It created all the concepts, details, and insight as what the Robotech universe may be and is. Unfortunately, Harmony Gold and the companies that decided on creating merchandise and new and retelling stories of Robotech, have not been loyal to TV Series. Each new author including Harmony Gold and Carl Macek, have created their own interpretations of what the 85 episodes told. They were never able to take the time to research and learn all the details and concepts that the series actually presents to us. To some fans, this is alright. They enjoy either taking one side or intermixing all the different universes each author has created, and even debate about what's correct and incorrect. However, there are many more who actually believes that the TV series must be respected and used fully to create any new stories. The Robotech Companion is one of them. We believe that any Robotech story that conflicts or alters what the TV Series has generated is an alternative storyline to the show. While the Robotech Companion will continue its strong interest in documenting and displaying what the TV series has to tell us, we do not want anyone with different beliefs to feel rejected. The Companion is here for all fans of any Robotech story. All fans are welcome here and welcome to use its chat rooms and message boards. Within time, maybe everybody's Robotech visions could be displayed here individually and unite a peaceful Robotech community together that can co-exist.
My web site was originally created back in 1999 as the "Robotech Information Center" through 2002. The original idea was to create a web site with the latest Robotech news to be found. The Robotech Companion will forever continue to do this. In 2002, the Robotech Information Center got itself a new layout and a better format along with my label as stage 1 of my ultimate ideas for a Robotech site. This stage transformed into stage 2 and became the Robotech Companion. The Companion's web design is created to be simple and not overly complex, so it may focus on information and be accessible to most internet users. Stage 3 will continue the Companion and contain parts where stage 2 left off. It will be more in-depth about the Robotech TV series in different ways.
I hope you, the web viewer, will come and support the Robotech Companion and enjoy it. Allow it to become your home and be your major resource for all things Robotech. Come and become a part of the large community and become an expert yourself. Learn about Robotech and the original continuity created by the TV series. There is so much to learn and enjoy. Long Live Robotech! - The Masters
