June 21, 1998 - Gametek's Robotech: Crystal Dreams video game for Nintendo 64 looks to be almost finished as IGN64.com did a review on the game.

Robocon 1999 announced for next year
July 19, 1998 - Robocon 1999 will take place on October 15 - 17, 1999 at the Doubletree Hotel in Anaheim, CA. Guests of Honor confirmed are: Greg Snegoff (Khyron/Scott Bernard), Richard Epcar (Ben Dixon, Lunk), Alexandra Kenworthy (Azonia/The Regis), Tony Oliver (Rick Hunter), Dan Woren (Roy Fokker), Carl Macek, and Arlon Ober. New Robotech II: The Sentinels Comic release
July 22, 1998 - Robotech II: The Sentinels: Rubicon #1 has released today. This comic begins to tell what happened in McKinney's Book 5 of Sentinels. There seems to be no completion to Book 4's comic series now due to Antarctic Press' ownership of the Robotech comic license

Robotech: Crystal Dreams officially Canceled
July 26, 1998 - Robotech: Crystal Dreams has been canceled due to Gametek going out of business officially last week. There is hope that another game such as Capcom to pick it up (but it never happened). The video game was almost completed after two and a half years.

August 24, 1998 - Antarctic Press releases Robotech: Covert Ops #1 and Robotech: Wings of Gibralter #1. They are both in black and white.
