The Robotech Web is Dying/Dead April 9, 2002 - It has been over a year since Robotech.com has opened, Harmony Gold's corporate and commercial Robotech web site. A site that generated a large community of casual fans has been the sole reason of death. Not death of people, but death of web sites. Before the birth of their site, the Robotech fandom used to be surging and alive. Robotech web sites were all over the web, about 150 sites. Since the opening of Robotech.com, a good whole 3/4 of the Robotech Web has died completely. Mere proof can be seen at Voltron-5's web site:
"Before, my site was about Robotech, but since the Official Robotech Site opened, There was no need for me to post to much Robotech Stuff. Now I can do different things on my site other then all Robotech, but the theme will still be Robotech." - Voltron-5's City Central
We hope our web site will help promote and keep the fandom alive. Long Live the Fans! Source: Robotech web sites
