Robotech 20th Anniversary Soundtrack Released!
January 17, 2006 - A few months late, but the Robotech soundtrack is finally shipped out and I received my copy. As stated before, it has all the tracks from the previously released soundtrack as well as four extra BGM tracks and three extra song tracks. The other tracks have been cleaned up a bit more to remove any hissing or noise. The newly included BGM tracks are short except the Cosmic Harp, which is all the Harp music pieced put together into one track. I personally like this new track a lot, the Cosmic Harp is great. As for the songs, The Flowers of Life by Musica is always special. The Right Move is one of Minmei's really short pieces and Lifeline is a song that wasn't used in the TV show, but the background music was. The soundtrack packaging is very well done and beautiful. The booklet includes multiple interviews and lyrics to all the songs. For anyone who never bought the previous soundtrack, this is a must buy for all Robotech fans. July 2006 News
FUNimation will publish The Shadow Chronicles!
July 22, 2006 - Harmony Gold has finally signed the deal to allow FUNimation, the company widely known for translating the Dragon Ball TV trilogy in America, to publish Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles on DVD and as a theatrical release! Shadow Chronicles will be a 88 minute film that continues from the end of The New Generation saga, retelling the final two episodes and moving forward. If this movie is a success, Harmony Gold is very interested in continuing their new story in any possible format that will work the best for Robotech and FUNimation. These options are a full TV series, direct-to-DVD episodes, or a continuation of movies. I believe that either DVD releases or more movies will be the most likely root as long as Harmony Gold is interested in having full freedom with their creation, which will be what the fans will want the most. There is no release date yet, but expect one within the coming months. [ Return of Robotech Article ]

September 2006 News
Shadow Chronicles Delayed
September 6, 2006 - FUNimation has decided to delay the release of the Shadow Chronicles until an unknown date at this time. This was to be expected based on comments from Tommy Yune stating that more time could help the movie be more successful. FUNimation believes it can make Shadow Chronicles successful through the use of more time to allow for a larger theatrical run and to expand the availability of the DVD in more retail stores. This delay will also allow third parties to be able to make Shadow Chronicles merchandise available when the DVD is released. A lot of fans are upset that Shadow Chronicles has been delayed again, but this is simply a needed step. If you're interested in the success of Shadow Chronicles and a future for Robotech animation, then this is simply an evil you have to accept. Be glad that there's no doubt that Shadow will be released and that all the plans are being made. It's just a wait, a real wait this time for a real release.

Jack McKinney's Second and Third Saga Novels Returns
December 6, 2006 - By the end of February 2007, Del Rey will be re-releasing Jack McKinney's Southern Cross and Invid Invasion novel trilogies in 3-in-1 novel books. McKinney's Macross Saga was released in two 3-in-1 volumes two years or so ago. So, now the main saga will be completed just in time for Shadow Chronicles. Please remember, that Jack McKinney's Robotech novels are an alternative retelling of the Robotech TV series and should be treated as a separate universe of its own. The McKinney novels differ a lot in facts, backstories, and other details to the 85 episodes of the TV series. [ Del  Rey's Robotech catalog ]
