EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING

meeting as read.

The
Treasurer presented to the Executive Board the latest membership numbers. The
Treasurer also provided updated copies of the SBIC 2009 Financial Statement,
Budget Projection, and the Detailed Registers.
The
scholarship applications were discussed. There has been a good response for
applications from the membership. Applications are still available for members
who would like one.
Portable
toilets were requested again from Sandy Burr management. Sandy Burr management
will have them delivered soon.
The
McGladrey Team Tournament was discussed.
The
Sandy Burr Cup was discussed. There was a great turnout from the membership and
a lot of positive feedback from those who participated.
The
MGA’s new policy on handicap revision labels was discussed. The Handicap
Chairman was able to convince the MGA’s Director of Handicapping to provide
SBIC with revised handicap labels.
The
Ball Mark Repair program was discussed.
NEW
BUSINESS: The Executive Board has decided to provide a free
lunch on the second day of the Club Championship on Sunday, August 2nd.
The
Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament was discussed. All members and their guests are
welcome to participate in this very popular event scheduled for Friday, July 10th.

The
Member Guest / Scholarship Tournament were discussed including the many tasks
associated with this event.
The
Club Championship Tournament was discussed.
There
was a brief discussion regarding the side play Skins Game.
The
President proposed the possibility of putting funds aside for marketing strategies
aimed to increase the inner club membership. Discussions on this matter will
continue at the next Executive Board meeting.
The
President asked the Executive Board to research the possibility of lowering the
age of men playing from the White Tees from 70 years of age to 65. The President
would like the Executive Board to speak to current members about this matter
and provide some feedback for further discussion at the next Executive Board
meeting.
The
Next Executive Board meeting will be determined
at a later date.
