I'm Richard Chenoweth, and I would like to thank you for visiting the Santa Maria Valley Historical Society Museum web site. I would also like to thank the people who have made it possible for us to have a web site.

We have made a number of changes to the museum during the last year, and we are always trying to find ways to give you more information about our valley and our heritage. If you haven't visited the museum lately, you really need to.

Besides the exhibits which change from time to time, you will find a library of references, a catalog of many pictures stretching from the earliest days of Santa Maria to the present, and a staff that is knowledgeable, friendly, and has a sincere desire to help you understand our history and, perhaps, your own.

If you have the opportunity, please come in and visit us. We are located at 616 South Broadway in Santa Maria, right next door to the Chamber of Commerce.
