 What's Going On?

What's Going On? This is as much an outcry today as when the song was written over thirty years ago. We still have wars
and rumors of wars, famine, disease, poverty, natural disasters, racism, violence, and hatred. Jesus said that these things
would continue until the end. We are still trying to "find a way (without God) to bring some lovin' here today."
We blame government, corporate corruption, capitalistic greed, the rich, and race. We are always pointing the finger but
never getting to the truth of the matter.
The truth is that man is by nature a sinner. That Mean Old Man lives in every one of us and there is nothing we can do
to improve him. That old man has already been judged and found guilty of crimes punishable by death! The "sons of Adam"
have been marked for destruction.
But, "I'm Ok. You're Ok." Right? Psychology tries to understand the ways of man. The underlying assumption
is that we are neither good nor evil but, "Tabula Rasa", a clean slate out of the womb. We learn good and evil
behavior from our environment. New age philosophy goes further and tells us that we all are good at the core. Not only good,
we are divine. We can change the world and make it a better place by collectively thinking positive thoughts. The strength
of all our goodness as one stream of consciousness will bring the "New Age" of peace and love. Well, isn't that
special?
Yield Not to Temptation my friend. The rivers of the philosophies of man are corrupt lies. Your Creator has judged you
as a wanton sinner. His justice is an angry justice and we are in His hands like a spider dangling from a single strand of
web over Perdition's flames! All creation is flawed clay and The Potter is ready to cast the whole lot into the furnace and
begin again.
"Then," you say, "what hope is there?" How can we say to The Potter, "Why did you make me like
this?" Who among us is worthy to redeem us from the wrath that is to come?" Oh, The Blood of Jesus has been shed
that we may live! For although God is angry in His justice, He is full of mercy and His love endures forever. For God so
loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son to be the eternal sacrifice for sin. He understands that a man's life
is but a vapor. Like grass in the field that is here today and tomorrow is cast into the fire so it goes with the Fragile
Heart of man. There is no temptation that has come upon you that Jesus Himself hasn't felt yet without sin. He is the perfect
High Priest who intercedes on our behalf before The Almighty Judge of Heaven and Earth. Like a groom with his bride so Christ
is with The Church of the Redeemed. He says to you and me, "I Will Be Here no matter what. Lo, I am with you always
even unto the end of the age. I will never no, not ever leave you or forsake you."
So, cheer up! Jesus has overcome the world and has by His Spirit put overcoming faith in you if you be in Christ. Turn
Your Eyes Upon Jesus and believe in His redeeming grace. He will save you from that mean old man and give you a new heart,
which cries out, "I Live For You, Jesus! You know everything about me even before my life began. You held me in your
hand. You have walked these roads before me. You have known the pain a broken heart can bear. Help me to trust You. Every
single day, I follow Your way. When I think of all Your love has done for me, I live for You never looking back to what life
used to be. And everything I ever thought was mine; I'd give it all away to have You in my life. I Give You Praise for You
Are Exalted high above all things and there is nothing that can separate me from Your everlasting love."
Is that your prayer today my friend? He stands knocking at the door of your heart and is ready to come in and sup with
you. He wants to come and tell you of the wonderful things He has in store for you both now in this life and in the life
to come when He returns to claim His own for the Kingdom of Forever. The Return of Jesus is a fact my friend. Every eye
shall see Him. Every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess that He is Lord to the glory of God, The Father. It may
be just a fairy tale to you now but Only Time Will Tell if what I speak is true. Are you ready to believe now? He wants
to Spend Some Time With You now as your friend and not as your judge at the end. The choice is up to you. I beseech you
by the mercies of God to give Glory To His Name and begin today Walking With The King as a called king and priest before your
God and always have Heaven on Your Mind.
