Who Can Join?
Membership is open to any woman, eighteen years of age or older, who is lineally
descended from a man or woman who contributed to the cause of American Independence. They may have served in a military
or civil capacity or rendered materiel aid to the cause.

Benefits of Joining
Scotchtown Chapter meets on the fourth Thursday of the month at 10:30 a.m. in Doswell, Virginia. Each regular meeting
includes devotions, patriotic exercises, the President General's report, and a National Defense report, a presentation on
a topic of interest, and luncheon. Members enjoy the fellowship, mutual interest and opportunities for service that the DAR
provides.

How Can You Join?
An application form that documents the lineage of the applicant to her patriot
ancestor is available through the local chapter.
Assistance in completing the application form and providing the necessary documentation is also available through the
local chapter.
