Billy there       old coot
I came yesterday    giving him a shave 
and you know what he does
                     reaches up to touch me    right here

It's all right  he really hardly knows
                                what's up
dreaming                flying upside down   RAF chasing Jerries
           in the sky    upside down
               
                                pushed his poor feeble hand away
looked at me     way men do  

today he's gone     here  close his eyes.

I lift his hand     press it against me 
give him what I couldn't                 in life

he can feel me     it never dies 
never dies does it
