Autobiography: First DateAfter the double feature 42nd Street and Paul Muni
I Was a Fugitive from a Chain Gang drove up the
mountain what they call a mountain in New Jersey a
pimple on the Earth and sitting across from her over coffee
and pie in Pal's Cabin I said your nose goes off to one side
just a little bit and she said nothing to this life is perfectly
symmetrical or how we chose it but notwithstanding the skewness
of her nose she was pretty very pretty and then she told me that
when we had been in school together she never gave me a tumble
thought I was a creepy bookworm we laughed together I said
Nothing to this life is coincidence or choice only Destiny
our destinies are symmetrical so we laughed together ha ha
I kissed her on the lips we got married and later she said she was right
I really was a creepy bookworm but she loved me notwithstanding.Nature abhors perfect symmetry.
"Nothing to this life...."quoted from Jeff Hardin "Understory."
